The Digital with Purpose (DWP) Global Summit is the flagship gathering of a worldwide movement led by the Global Enabling Sustainability Initiative (GeSI)—uniting leaders who believe that digital innovation and AI must serve a higher purpose for society, the economy, and the planet.
Since 2022, the Summit has travelled through Lisbon, Brussels, and Taipei, bringing together global industry leaders, policymakers, financiers, innovators, and academics to define and accelerate responsible digital transformation. In 2026, the Summit arrives in Bengaluru, one of the world’s most influential centres for technology, AI, and digital development.
Bengaluru plays a unique and strategic role in the global digital landscape: a powerhouse of innovation, a critical node in international tech supply chains, and a city where ideas, talent, and solutions scale at unprecedented speed. By hosting the Summit here, we aim to connect India’s dynamic digital ecosystem with GeSI’s global network of policymakers, enterprises, financiers, researchers, and sustainability leaders.
The DWP Global Summit – Bengaluru will explore how digital technologies—from AI and data centres to smart grids, climate-tech, digital public infrastructure, and urban systems—can drive measurable impact across economies and society. Through high-level keynotes, strategic dialogues, and real-world case studies, the Summit will align policy, innovation, and investment to ensure digital transformation becomes a lever for opportunity, resilience, and long-term sustainability.
Co-organized by GeSI and the Future ICT Forum for Sustainable Cities, this edition will bring to Bengaluru GeSI’s 25-year legacy of shaping global standards, forging cross-sector partnerships, and demonstrating the enabling power of technology in sustainability. The Summit will be focused on five pillars:
healthcare to digital water systems, precision agriculture, biotech, and climate-tech—know how disruptive technologies are reshaping societies to respond to their most urgent challenges.
Learn how digital infrastructure can scale sustainably while strengthening resilience and competitiveness.
This pillar explores the technologies and governance frameworks enabling smart services—from digital health and clean air monitoring to mobility, urban planning, and citizen-centred solutions.
Cities and industries are under increasing pressure to reduce waste, optimise resource use, and accelerate decarbonisation. This pillar explores how digital tools enable circular business models, extend product life cycles, and support resource recovery. It positions digital innovation as a catalyst for scalable circularity across industries and value chains.
Look at how digital and AI are reshaping skills, jobs, and education—and what it means for the workforce of tomorrow. Experts explore new models for digital learning, AI literacy, and talent development that empower people and businesses to thrive.
“From Bengaluru to the World: Digital Innovation with Purpose”

Corporate leaders and global experts will discuss how advanced digital tools, predictive analytics, automation, and intelligent platforms are enabling organisations to modernize critical services, strengthen operational performance, reduce risks, and unlock new market opportunities. The conversation will highlight scalable business models, investment trends, cross-sector collaborations, and real-world use cases demonstrating improved outcomes in health, water management, and climate-resilient agriculture.
10:40 – 11:00 — Morning Coffee Break (20 minutes)
Digital infrastructure is expanding rapidly, but so are concerns over energy use, emissions, and water consumption. This session explores pathways toward climate-smart and resource-efficient infrastructure, featuring global best practices and global leadership in green digital design. The panel will discuss renewable energy integration, circularity in ICT, next-generation data centres, and the business case for sustainable digital infrastructure.
12:10 – 13:40 — Lunch Break (1 hour : 30 minutes)
This panel explores how digital innovation—powered by data, AI, and digital public infrastructure—can transform daily living in fast-growing urban environments. Speakers will showcase practical, scalable solutions for smart mobility, digital health services, air-quality and well-being monitoring, and community-centred urban design. By bringing together global experts and Bengaluru-based innovators, the session will highlight how technology can create healthier, more efficient, and more liveable cities—and how India can lead the next wave of digital smart living solutions locally and globally.
14:50 – 15:10 — Afternoon Coffee Break (20 minutes)
The shift to a circular economy is becoming a global priority as cities and industries confront rising waste, resource scarcity, and pressure to decarbonise. This panel explores how digital innovation is enabling new circular models that minimise waste, extend product lifecycles, recover materials, and reduce environmental impact. Experts will share how digital tools are making circular practices more efficient, transparent, and economically viable.
Bengaluru’s greatest asset is its talent—but the rapid rise of AI, automation, and new digital systems demands new skills, mindsets, and lifelong learning pathways. This panel explores how India can lead in building an inclusive, future-ready workforce, and how global collaboration frameworks—such as GeSI’s DEFIA alliance—can accelerate education innovation. The session focuses on preparing people for meaningful, resilient, and purpose-driven work in an AI-powered world.
